Abstract
On the basis of analyzing the known methods of ultrasound smoothing, it is revealed that so far radial or torsional oscillations of the indenter have mainly been imposed on these processes. It is shown that the use of spatial ultrasonic vibrations along the resultant force smoothing process allows to use all the advantages of ultrasound. The results of preliminary studies of ultrasound smoothing with tangential ultrasonic vibration are introduced.
