Abstract

A rectangular plate with constant thickness consisting of two adjacent rectangles with different physical and mechanical properties is considered. All the edges and the adjacent brink are simply supported. In the initial state, the two edges of the plate which are perpendicular to the dividing surface of the rectangle are in sliding contact conditions. The equation determining the critical temperatures is obtained. The behavior of the critical temperature depending on the ratio of plate sides and the ratio coefficient of the linear thermal expansion is investigated.
