Abstract

A calculating method based on creating a virtual mechanism is applied for the analysis of the locking plier characteristics. Appropriate models are created for cam mechanism transmission ratio calculation and for quantification of such characteristics of Viper Grip locking pliers as handling convenience and energetic ratio. A proper excel based calculating algorithm is developed and numerical results are obtained.
