Abstract

The flat plate strength calculations under punching shear with different thicknesses, sizes of cross sections, flexural reinforcement percent of slabs and different grades of steel bars using strut-and-tie are given. The implemented calculations using strut-and-tie model with test results were compared. Comparative analysis data showed that the deviation of ultimate punching forces from theoretical and testing results are slight, consequently the developed strut-and-tie model may be used to estimate the stressstrain state of flat plate under punching shear.
