Abstract
In 2012, a study of the phytoplankton community of Debed river and its catchment area was conducted. The study revealed 113 species of plankton algae, most of indicator species of organic water pollution, dominated by β-mesosaprob species. By indicators of the phytoplankton community Tashir river up to Tashir town was the most polluted, which may be a result of the impacts from agricultural and livestock activities.
