Abstract

A number of issues regarding the transformation of several residences into museums are discussed. So called “collectible” and “ensemble” museums of historical and cultural heritage, terms of “museum monuments”, «Open air museums”, “ecomuseum” and possibilities of their use in the Republic of Armenia are also discussed in the article. In consequences of the research, the objects of historical and cultural heritage, which will be transformed into museums, were classified. The author substantiates the creation of new tourist routes by involving historical settlements.
