Abstract

The comparison of the main parameters of variants of natural gas storage under the final pressure of 12,5 and 6,3 MPa are presented. As a drive for compressors, unlike the traditional gas internal combustion engines, it is proposed to use electric motors, and to realize the gas pressure decline through turbo expanders, instead of the throttling process, ensuring the used electric power partial recovery to the electric grid. Thereafter the gas has to be heated due to the energy of the outside air in the “air-gas” heat exchanger in order to ensure the safe operation of the gas supply system. If the storage gas average cost price in case of 12,5MPa pressure is 9,768 AMD/m3, when extender and electric generator are used, then in case of 6,3MPa the gas average cost price is 9,288 AMD/m3 or is reduced by 5,2%.
