Abstract
The main factors affecting the formation of atrium-type residential constructions are analyzed, which affect the formation of both the external and internal image of the building. Atrium buildings may serve with the purpose of establishment of comfortable city environment, energy efficiency, creation of a common city image, improvement of social-economic conditions and solution of other problems in new and reconstructing residential buildings.
