Abstract
The technique of the architectural solution used by the architect Bernard Khoury during the reconstruction, adaptive reuse and modernization of “Folk House” building of 19th century of Gyumri is considered. Functional planning and layout-dimensional design solutions are analyzed, with the help of which are revealed: architectural and artistic combination of old and new, vertical expanding and transformation of structure, integration of functions and radical transformation of the plan.
