Abstract

For centuries many researchers have tried deciphering the encrypted regularities in Da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man” drawing, but still persuasive arguments do not exist. Taking into account the benchmark phenomenon of the geometric cube in medieval architectural designs, the author suggests implementing by the same principle the system of downsizing squares, where an attempt is made to disclose and explain the regularities of the above mentioned drawing in the framework of proportional analysis, where a hypothesis is proposed about the geometric benchmark of the drawing, as well as the encrypted ideological basis of Orion-Hayk constellation in the drawing has been justified.
