Abstract

The features of the construction of Vedi dam are described. The analysis of engineering-geological conditions of the soils of the dam foundation is performed. After the construction of the dam, during the exploitation of the reservoir, in case of seismic effect the process of the soil thinning of the foundation may occur. It is proposed to implement the anti-filtration element of the dam in the form of a screen with a tooth, at which the probability of thinning of the soil will be significantly reduced and the stability of the dam will be increased.
