Abstract

Architectural peculiarities of the churches designed by outstanding architect Bagdasar Arzumanyan are discussed. The sources of the manuscripts found by him are mentioned. Medieval originals that served as inspiration for the architect are given. A comparative analysis of the solution of plans and compositions of churches serving as prototypes for his designs, their similarities and differences in author innovations are revealed.
