Abstract
The basics of Odzun Holy Mother of God Church layout is discussed. The following six churches of 4th - 6th centuries are analyzed: Gtevanq, Jgrashen, Tormak, Kurtan, Aruch and Yeghvard. The structure of the listed churches are very important for the original design of Armenian churches. Each of them has certain structural elements that have been transferred to the next centuries, preserving the essence of the structure, sometimes bearing some changings of the forms.
