Abstract

Current methods of drinking water disinfection in water supply system of Armenia are monitored and also the recommendations for drinking water disinfection stations with use of chlorine or its compounds are given. The calculation shows that the disinfection with liquid chlorine or sodium hypochlorite almost has the same value. It is suggested the disinfection of drinking water to implement with sodium hypochlorite, also the production of it at the place of consumption is very efficient and ensures the high level of water disinfection process. The disinfection product can be used for other purposes, especially for household purposes.
