Abstract

Architecture of Hakob Mtsbnetsi Church in Gyumri designed by talented architect Baghdasar Arzumanyan is considered. Thoroughly are presented features of the plan of the church, dimensional composition, and the artistic expressions are analyzed. The composition of the St. Hakob Mtsbnetsi Church is an example of synthesis of Armenian traditional church types and is closely related to the medieval architectural school of Ani-Shirak.
