Abstract
In order to ensure the required í Q emergency discharge in case of a breakdown, we intend to connect the water conduits by an n number of evenly spaced cross connections. In case of a breakdown, the corresponding section is isolated with the help of valves. After the breakdown is dealt with, this section is again connected to the system. A non-stationary movement occurs when isolating, as well as, later on, connecting the separate sections. The pattern of change of hydrodynamic parameters in case of transitional processes in the pumping system is studied.
