Abstract

The principles and methodology for assessing the vulnerability of rural communities of the Republic of Armenia for application in the area of spatial planning are presented. The composition of measures and indicators taken from geographical, natural-resource, demographic and socio-economic factors are substantiated. The developed formula assesses the vulnerability of all communities of the Republic. Based on the results of the assessment, a map of the vulnerability of communities was drawn up and some proposals on priority directions for the development of spatial planning documents were submitted.
