Abstract

Epicenters of the earthquakes appear in the places where faults cross: morph structural junctions, relief conditions (different types of relief combinations, landslides, and landslips) which are typical also for downpour basins. Considering this, magnitudes of 210 downpour rivers of RA have been calculated with formerly known formulas and the results were compared with magnitudes of investigated river station. Analysis show that seismic risk of the river feeder flows is 20% more than for main rivers except the feeders of Qasakh River, where the result is less than 18%.
