Abstract
Educational institutions, which were active from the 19th century to pre-soviet period in the city of Alexandropol (Gyumri) are considered, including their accession into the period of development and formation types. Furthermore, educational institutions, which are examples of the best public buildings that play a very important role in the modern city, were explained.
