Abstract
The paper discusses the features of planning and compositional solutions in the residential architecture of Yerevan, which are typical of different time periods. The work is based on a complex analysis of: the factors, which influence the formation of the residential development; the main parameters of the development; the evolution process of the development within the different chronological periods. The research allows to classify the residential development of Yerevan in 20th century by planning and composiotional solutions.
