Abstract
The the key issues of design and development of school buildings in the USSR in 1960-70 are studied. The space planning, structural and regulatory requirements of school buildings and complexes in the structure of a residential district in terms of mass construction, normative requirements and also consistency of principles development of tipological projecting of school buildings are considered.
