Abstract
The flood, mudflow and landslide phenomena have been intensified nearby Vanadzor after the massive deforestation of the surrounding woodlands. The fight against floods and mudflows is realized in a complex manner, through agroforestal, agrotechnical and hydroengineering activities. The forests are restored, intercepting ditches, trenches are laid on, terracing of slopes are carried out. As mudflow prevention hydroengineering measures mudflow channels, inclined falls, pipe and bridge crossings, tunnels, bankprotection walls are built, and as mudflow structures - dams, waste storages, etc. Anti-flood and antimudflow variety of complex measures are offered that can reduce or prevent the effect of mudflows.
