Abstract
As far back as ancient times Armenians have created both traditional industrial buildings to meet socioeconomic needs and defence and military structures, such as fortress, which for centuries has been able to protect the Armenian people from invasions. The mentioned structures’ development directions, plans and spatial-compositions in different periods of time are presented, as well as their modern capabilities are considered.
