Abstract

Article examines the structure and resources of lava flows of acidic volcanic glasses in Armenia. The structure of the lava flow is considered on the sample of Fantan deposit. It has been revealed that lava flow consists of liparite, obsidian and perlite layers of equal thickness, wich are combined in gradual transition, and their structure depends on the cooling degree of acidic lava flow. Geological surveys have shown that the predicted reserves of several billion tons of water-containing acidic volcanic rocks in Armenia are practically inexhaustible.
