Abstract
The development of decorative-composite cladding tiles for interior decoration of floors and walls is studied. The optimum composure of composites consisting of stone material waste (marble and tufa) is given. High-pressure polyethylene has been used as a binder. Preparation technology of decorative tiles is discussed. The optimal temperature regimes of the mass treatment and pressing durability margins are summarized. The main properties of the tiles such as durability, density, water absorption and abrasion resistance are studied as well. It is proven that the application of marble powder compared with tufa powder increases durability10-17 %, density 8-10%, equal and low abrasion resistance 3-4 % respectively and decreases the water absorption property up to 50%.
