Abstract
The article deals with mid-rise residential buildings constructed by typical (standart) projects in the postwar period in the city of Yerevan, generalized global experience to modernize typical building. During the analysis of the current state of the residential building the main problems and requirements of modernization are revealed. The offers on the general principles of modernization, and the path of modernization are given on the model of a residential neighborhood:
