Abstract
In the district of Yerevan circus building the ground waters are located not so deep (2.1…4.3 m). During its construction and operation in order to protect the basement floors from waterlogging, foundations of which will be at the depth of 9.1m from the earth surface, it is suggested to construct horizontal circular pipe drainages by the building parameter and bed pipe drainages in the central part. If the drainage types proposed for the district of the circus building are selected and reasoned by the corresponding calculations, hydraulic characteristics are maintained, and the proper and timely removal of the originated ground water is organized, the expected measures will fully ensure the protection of the basement floors of the circus building from waterlogging by the ground water during the whole process of construction and operation.
