Abstract
In the Tiflis province formed in 1846 and its center, Tiflis, a large number of Armenians resided, which, in particular, in the economy of Tiflis, had a very significant significance. Until 1917, Armenians owned almost all the heights of the commercial, industrial and banking sectors. Many large-scale commercial, industrial enterprises and banking organizations in the region were first created by Armenians. They were also the first in the management of the economy according to the latest European standards, for electricity, radio and cable cars. The richest Armenians of Tiflis were also among the earliest earners and exporters of Baku oil. In many countries, produced by Armenians tobacco, leather and other products, received great recognition.
