Abstract
there has been a gradual shift of the world economic development center to the Asia-Pacific region in recent decades. Undoubtedly, it has increased the importance of this region for the global political and economic actors. In this article, the author examines the main trends of the United States foreign policy toward the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the main problems and prospects that are on the agenda in the interaction of the USA with the countries of the "Pacific Ring".
