Abstract
The article is based on the analysis of some toponymic data, pointing to the Iranian attribution of the population of ancient Aturpatakan. Toponyms reflecting the ethnic attribution of the area in the past, prove that the prevailing demographic element in the region, before the linguistic Turkification of the latter, had Iranian attribution.
