Abstract

In the article the author analyzes the history of military and political events of the last years in Syria. As the likely preconditions for aggravation of the internal situation in the country, the author cites such factors as years of drought, the dictatorship of power, especially of government, and others. The author concludes that in Syria, still continuing situation of stalemate, as the regime is unable to suppress the opposition movement and opposition is impossible to overthrow the regime, which to this day shows a large margin of safety. Despite the fact that located outside Syria radically minded opposition (mainly in Istanbul) is trying to influence the situation, sending into battle their supporters, yet so strong to shake mode is not simple, it shows the time. The Syrian regime has held for four years, keeping under control the main, strategic points in the country.
