Abstract

The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh is one of the oldest in the post-Soviet space, which is the actual agenda of international politics and is of interest both for the political society of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as for the regional interests of some of the leading and most influential neighbors. In the context of the Karabakh problem, the article discussed the military and political aspects of the April events, the response of the international community, the likelihood and prospects for the resumption of hostilities and their possible implications for these countries, as well as off adjacent states in the region and the international community. In particular, they discussed approaches to the problem of the conflicting parties and to the notion of its "compromise" solutions.
