Abstract

The article debates some peculiarities of the State of Israel’s foreign and national security policy, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s views and perceptions of what policy concepts and ideas should be. Insecure environment of the Middle East does have impact on Israel’s foreign and defense policy doctrine not any draft of which is still not yet approved by Parliament (Knesset) or Government. Israeli concepts can be compared with and adapted to the Armenian foreign and security policy ideas and doctrines. The author has proposed a few ideas to foster and stimulate the Armenian foreign policy conceptualization in terms of compelementarism and involvement of the country. The article pays attention to the necessity of starting a wide and public discussion on the foreign and security policy among the Armenian think-tanks regardless of their political sympathy.
