Abstract
The historical building with modern attachments, architectural expansion and reuse requirements were presented by the world's leading organizations of monuments preservation (UNESCO, ICOMOS, US NPS). Modern interventions in the historical environment are subject to stormy discussion, and two controversial, but objective opinions on each project are observed. Three main requirements for the replenishment of historic buildings of the US National Park Service (NPS) were presented.
