Abstract
Developed countries are trying to accelerate the application of value engineering method to overcome the needs of the national system, thus developing countries are in urgent need to apply this system since it has become a matter of fact that construction companies need to implement. The advantages and disadvantages of value engineering method are given together with the obstacles of implementing value engineering in states of Gulf Cooperation Council and the UAE, as well as perspectives of implementation of this method is studied in those countries and some recommendations are drawn for the developers and users.
