In the first case he clung onto the past (already done), in the second case onto the future (will do it later). In the article a person with such a worldview is characterized as an "absent person", who does not have an intention to act and lives either by bethinking or hoping.
“The man in the world” (the man’s relation to the Absolute, substantive and social being) and “the man’s world” (“I” or the man’s relation to self) are the semantic constructs, which form the unified existential inner world of the man. The historical process of development of the man's objective being may be divided into three stages: 1) the unmediated stage of the relation of man to things, when the manufactured objects are really man-made and, as such, are organically included in the unified existential space of man; 2) the mediated stage of relations to things, when the unified world of man's being is divided into the instrumental and existential worlds, and the instrumental world represents threatening and destructive effect to the existential one; 3) the stage of "dual
mediation", when even the existence of existential space becomes problematic. The structural transformations of objective being cause modifications in the existential space. The social being as a person's relation to another one is revealed through a system of categories: "I", "You", "It", "We", where their methodological significance is emphasized. The man's relation to the Absolute is considered as the semantic factor, which constitutes the existential space.
By showing the examples of “Death or Freedom” dilemma among Armenians, the author thinks, that the Armenian historical-political thought, without taking into consideration the results of historical events, almost equalized the strive for independence through battle, at the cost of blood and martyrdom with national liberation battle. The other option of reaching the goal through peaceful, bloodless and diplomatic ways was not appreciated (with few exceptions), was neglected, frequently was criticized from the scratch and sometimes was identified with betrayal. Based on this, daily and historical-theoretical thought processed the mythical, epic and historical materials in such a way, that one of the options of “Freedom and death” dilemma (giving preference to armed fighting) was not only justified but also canonized. Armenian thought justified the necessity and inevitability of armed fighting, created a myth that armed resistance and achieving freedom at the cost of death is almost the only legal way of keeping identity. Based on this approach the criteria of differentiating the national heroes and traitors, stereotypes and mental patterns of presenting and covering history were formulated.
The problem of psychological and subjective well-being has been in the focus of psychologists for more than 50 years. Numerous studies have been conducted, and a huge number of factors correlated with well-being, have been discovered. However, these studies demonstrate a mechanical bаnk of correlations without having a holistic conceptual approach to the subject. The author hopes that similar studies will not be conducted in the next 150 years and also calls on psychologists to relate selectively to the material that is being taught to the students of the psychological faculties.
Some features of the dissociative syndrome, in which the corporality of personality is presented as the focus of analysis, are considered in the article. The relevance of political myths grows in times of social crisis when society needs new, unifying symbols. Such symbols can be images of the Hero and Enemy, which were involved in the context of velvet revolution in Armenia in 2018. In addition to these symbols, the myth of the people's power was actualized too. That myth became the key message of the revolutionary movement in April in Armenia.
