Трансформация социальной массы в контексте новых цивилизационных факторов (Սոցիալական զանգվածի փոխակերպումը քաղաքակրթական նոր գործոնների համատեքստում)

Abstract

In the modern world, regular mechanisms of mass society start failing in the course of transition from closed social system to an open one. In this new civilizational reality, knowledge and trust become important axiological pillars, proving that in the modern technologically-intensive social, economical and political systems such characteristics as uniformity and homogeneity of the social mass doesn’t contribute properly to the optimal development and functionality of the system. Moreover, difficulties in psychologically adapting to the transformations of the world around us intensify psychological alienation and create social mass of a new type, which is the public that features not so much a need for joint action but overall passivity that isusually interpreted as lack of sociality.
