Generalizing the main points of view concerning the date of birth of the poet expressed in literature, also his own decryption expressed in Chapters 23 and 46 of the “Book of Lamentations” assuming as a basis, the author comes to the conclusion that the greatest Armenian poet was definitely born in 945. This deduction is indirectly confirmed by the fact that in the 40s of the last century it was decided to solemnly celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Narekatsi’s birth, but for some reasons, the event did not take place. The author expresses the hope that over the next 27 years the doubts about the date of the poet’s birth will be dispelled and in 2045 the 1100th anniversary of his birth will be celebrated.
