Abstract

Summarizing the reign of Gogh Vasil, it should be noted that he was able to create a centralized and strong authority, under which Armenian free forces were concentrated. His protection and favor enjoyed the clergy as well. Besides military and political activities, Gogh Vasil also paid attention to the role of education via foundation in Karmir Vank Theological Seminary and a school that was to become one of the scientific and educational centers of Armenian Cilicia.
