The article considers the history of the relationships between Levon Metsagoets, the founder of Cilician Armenia, and Gevorg Prince. Based on the medieval sources and the authentic literature there has been made an attempt to represent the reasons for King's savage disposition towards Gevorg Prince who was Prince Mleh's son. The article also considers Chief Commander Kostandin's role both in that important event and in the situation that was created in the Armenian Kingdom after Levon Metsagorts's death. It is proved in the article that the step taken by the King was based on the fact that two prominent personalities had started struggle for
the position of Sparapet or Chief Commander.
