Abstract

The investigation of the discovered material reveals the uninterrupted process of the Classical period tile development in Early Medieval Dvin. Comparative analysis of the archaeological material and written sources data reveals a chronological correspondence of the tile typical forms with the main stages of construction of Dvin. About four hundred year process of development of the Early Medieval tile is represented very fragmentary in other monuments. In fact, the Early Medieval tile range of Dvin may be considered as a correcting factor of dating building stages of the synchronous monuments
