Abstract
During 1921-1922 Armenian-Georgian economic relations were tense parrallel to border disputes. Significant problems arose in connection with trade-economic relations, transit routes and, in particular, railway communication and in other spheres. Soviet Armenia was in a continuous blockade. By manipulating territorial issues and making use of all the advantages of their geographic location Georgian authorities caused artificial obstacles to the delivery of various goods to Armenia through blockade, frequently causing various obstacles and failures to railway communications. Georgia was blockading Armenia, thereby seeking to compel the Armenian government to make territorial concessions, particularly in the Akhalkalaki issue. The political, trade-economic agreements were breached and Georgians didn’t let freight trains travel to Armenia freely. It was a common phenomenon both for Dashnak Armenia and Soviet Armenia in the first years of its existence
