Արիստոտելը և XVII դարի հայ փիլիսոփայությունը

Abstract

The influence of Aristotle on the development of Armenian philosophical thought lasted until the end of the XVIII century. The present article makes an attempt to reveal the forms and features of this influence in the XVII century. Accordingly, it is shown that Aristotle's wellknown works in logic contributed to the restoration of the weahened traditions of Armenian philosophical thought in the first half of the XVII century, and the translation and interpretation of «Metaphysics» into Armenian served as a stimulus for the formation of the Armenian philosophy of modern times in the second half of the XVII century. Moreover, the author also states that by the end of the XVII century Armenian thinkers referred to Aristotle not only in analyzing scientific and philosophical issues, but also for revealing the phenomena of social and political life or outlining the ways and prospects for the development of society.
