Abstract

To whatever purpose it is created and re-created, the speech deep inside maintains the memory of its vocal origin as the most important timber, on which human mentality and the existence of civilization are based. Otherwise it would be impossible to explain the literary- ‘‘figurative" prevalence of sounds and other linguistic elements and realia in speech, especially in Armenian poetry, their great role or just simple widespread indication. Language should be studied in its real use, relying primarily on social psychology, folklore, mythology, traditions that are expressed in verbal forms and in the entire culture. In dealing with such problems we should rely upon the study of the folkloric material – the crown of culture, particularly the epic poem, and the works of individual writers which are unconditionally accepted and highly valued in the society and among people. Linguistics has always been sensitive to the issue of language and culture interconnection, but we have to admit that their mutual inseparable link has not been properly studied. The text should be studied not only as a linguistic but also as a cultural phenomenon, as culture is primarily a linguistic phenomenon. In this case we find out that beyond the direct and figurative meanings there are other internal relations and connections between the words and texts that are created with them, the words live and constantly reproduce in the texts of verbal art of people bearing the language.
