Abstract

The article presents Armenian mass media in the Republic of Azerbaijan, including television and radio programs. Anti-Armenian propaganda is carried out in different fields of social avtivity, primarily in the field of information. Recently Azerbaijani electronic media are especially active in the Armenian language, where the objectives and the types of their activities are being analyzed. Media activity in Azerbaijan is under the direct control of the Azerbaijani authorities, and the control is even stronger on the Armenian media. The article particularly touches upon the response of Armenian electronic media about the April’s fourday military operations along the contact line between Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army and Azerbaijani Armed forces.
