Abstract

The article analyzes Raphael Lemkin’s article “Stop Genocide Now” in which the author pointed out his views on the issues of prevention of genocide and holding accountable for the crime of genocide, in particular mentioning the Armenian Genocide. Lemkin highlighted the need for the adoption of the International Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide. On the example of the Armenian Genocide he proved that the crime should not be left unpunished.
