Abstract

At the end of the XIX century Armenian national parties, which had started a political struggle, used media widely for the propaganda of their ideas. In the period between 1903-1907 the «Verakazmyal Hnchakyan» party (reorganized as «Hnchakyans») was publishing the periodical «Azat Bem» in Egypt, the editor of which was Levon Larents. This periodical was discussing the questions that worried Armenians at the beginning of the XX century, in which the main issue was the liberation of the Western Armenians from the Turkish domination. «Azat Bem» was reflecting the point of view of Hnchakyan Party about a wide range of questions concerning the Armenian liberation movement at the beginning of the XX century.
