Abstract

The present article discusses the matter of the Armenian Genocide in the dialogic discourse of Armenian online media in three dimensions – 1. Dialogue inside Armenian Community, 2. Dialogue between Armenian Culture and the outer world, 3. Dialogue between Armenia and Turkey.

Inside Armenian Community the dialogue over Armenian Genocide, except for several controversial intentions present in politics, is characterized with the consolidating function, embodied around the pivotal of the victim of Genocide. In the dialogic discourse of Armenian Culture and the outer world, the Canonization ceremony of Grigor Narekatsi is highlighted. In this case the inner dialogue of the “Book of Lamentations” is combined with the liturgy of Catholic Church combining with the latter in spiritual time and space. The dialogic discourse Armenia-Turkey is polarised, which is obvious especially in the relationships between the authorities of the two countries. This polyphony forms a megatext the boundaries of which are broadened daily by new texts.
