Батумская область. Еще одна трагедия армян

Abstract

Turkey, entering the First World War in October 1914, dealt the first blow to Batumi region. Late in 1914 the Turks managed to capture almost the entire region of Batumi, as well as the province of Kars, Ardahan city and surrounding settlement. In the occupied territories, the Turks together with Muslims, carried out mass killings of the Christians. The published document give information about the violence, massacres aginst the Armenian Catholic population of Batumi and the condition of the survivors.
