Ֆրեդերիկ Դյու Բուա դը Մոնպերոյի քարտեզը ադրբեջանական գիտական և քաղաքական շահարկումներում

Abstract

Maps have an important role in the system of sources. Unfortunately, these sources – old (historical) maps, often give rise to political manipulations pursuing long-term political goals and changing the reality. Similar attempts were the, so called, "The collection of old maps" published by the Azerbaijanis in 2012 and various publications found in the web. In the second part of the article, an attemt was made to introduce the life and activity of the historian, geographer, cartographer, natural historian, geologist as well as painter Frederic Dubois, his main works, including "Atlas", which Azeris have used and manipulated in the mentioned publication.
